Questions

Will it drain my battery?

No. In our tests on an Apple Silicon Mac it uses about 3% of one CPU core while animating, and it pauses by itself when a window covers the desktop. You can also pause it on battery.

Which Macs does it run on?

Any Mac with macOS 13 Ventura or later, with Apple Silicon or Intel.

Does it need the internet or collect data?

No. It works offline and collects nothing. Planet positions, Moon phases and meteor showers are calculated on your Mac.

Are the facts real?

Yes. Every fact is checked, the planets start where they really are today and the Moon shows its real phase. Sizes and distances are not to scale, or the planets would be invisible.

Is it a screen saver too?

Yes. It includes a real screen saver for System Settings that works with the lock screen and hot corners.

How much will it cost?

A one-time purchase, no subscription. Everyone on the waitlist gets the launch price.
